My child doesn't speak any Spanish. Will they be lost?

Not at all — that's exactly who our programs are built for. Our teachers use gestures, visuals, music, and routine so children understand from day one without translation. Most families are surprised how quickly their child starts responding in Spanish.

What ages do you accept?

We serve children from 12 months through 12 years old. Parent & Child is for ages 1–3, Spanish Immersion Preschool for ages 2–5, Spanish School for ages 3½–12, the Virtual Program for ages 3–12, and our camps for ages 2½–10.

Is English ever used in class?

No. Our classes are full immersion — English translations are not used during instruction. Children learn Spanish the same way they learned their first language: through context, repetition, and play with a native-speaking teacher.

Can we try a class before enrolling?

Yes. Our free Demo Class lets your child experience a real SiW class while you meet the teachers, see the learning environment, and get a full program overview. It's the best way to know if we're the right fit — with no obligation.

Where are your campuses located?

We have three Long Island campuses: Dix Hills (400 Deer Park Ave.), Garden City (38 Old Country Rd.), and Manhasset (1845 Northern Blvd., across from the Americana). We also offer live virtual classes you can join from anywhere.

How flexible are the schedules?

Very. Spanish Immersion Preschool, Spanish School, and our camps all let you enroll from 1 to 5 days per week. Preschool uses open, rolling enrollment throughout the school year, so you don't have to wait for September to start.

Are your teachers native Spanish speakers?

Yes — every SiW class is taught by a native Spanish-speaking teacher. Children hear authentic pronunciation, rhythm, and expressions from real speakers across the Spanish-speaking world.

Is my child still in diapers — is that a problem?

Not at all. Diapers are welcome in our Spanish Immersion Preschool program. Our teachers handle the day with the same care and routine your child gets at home.

What happens during school breaks and summer?

We run Specialty Camps for every break — Holiday, Winter, and Spring — each with its own educational theme. In summer, our Summer Camp takes children on a 'Fantasy Trip' to a different Spanish-speaking country, with half day and full day options.

Do you offer a referral discount?
