Spanish immersion classes and camps for children ages 1–12 on Long Island. Parent & Child, Preschool, Spanish School, Virtual, and Summer & Specialty Camps at our Dix Hills, Garden City, and Manhasset campuses.
Our Story
Spanish Immersion Workshop was founded on a simple conviction: young children don't need to be taught a language — they need to be surrounded by one. Everything we've built since follows from that idea.
Today we welcome children from 12 months to 12 years old at three Long Island campuses — Dix Hills, Garden City, and Manhasset — plus live virtual classes for families further afield. Our programs run all year: Parent & Child on Saturday mornings, a full immersion preschool five mornings a week, after-school Spanish School, and camps during every school break.
Every class is taught by a native Spanish-speaking teacher, in Spanish only, in deliberately small groups. Our preschool follows a nationally recognized curriculum and our Spanish School runs on the SiW Immersion Curriculum Model, with leveled classes so children keep progressing as they grow.
The SiW Immersion Method
No Translation
English is never used during instruction. Children build meaning from context, gesture, and repetition — the way they learned their first language.
Routine & Music
The same songs, greetings, and transitions every session give children an anchor. Within weeks, familiar phrases start coming out on their own.
Play Is the Lesson
Art, cooking, science, yoga, and games are the vehicle. Spanish is the medium children move through, never the subject on a worksheet.
