Spanish Summer Camps for Kids on Long Island

Why a summer of Spanish moves faster than a school year of it — and how our Long Island camp weeks are structured.

Spanish Summer Camps for Kids on Long Island

Summer is the fastest stretch of the year for a child's Spanish, for a simple reason: hours. A camp week puts more Spanish in front of a child than a month of once-weekly classes, and it happens while they're playing.

How camp weeks are structured

  • Half day or full day, depending on age.
  • Enroll 1 to 5 days a week, so camp can fit around travel and other plans.
  • Small groups with native Spanish-speaking teachers trained in the SiW methodology.
  • Materials are included, and the days are built on activities — cooking, art, science, music, and movement.

Where camp runs

Camp weeks are hosted at our Long Island campuses: Dix Hills, at 400 Deer Park Ave. in Suffolk County, and Garden City, at 38 Old Country Rd. in Nassau County. Check the campus pages for what's offered at each before you choose dates.

Summer Camp versus Specialty Camps

Summer Camp covers the long break with a travel-themed programme. Specialty Camps are the shorter school-break weeks — Holiday, Winter, and Spring — with published dates on the camp page. Families often use both across a year.

Good for beginners too

Camp isn't only for children already enrolled with us. Beginners do well because the days are activity-led, the group is small, and nobody is expected to speak before they're ready.
